Once upon a time...

“Once upon a time there was a beautiful maiden, her skin has white as snow and hair as red as the fire in her soul. She was locked in a big, black castle, prisoner of an evil blue dragon.” The narrator started.

“God no! Not one of those stories!” Emily almost screamed “why would you even start to tell it like that?!”

“Well I’m sorry, I just wanted to try something a little bit different.”

“let’s just go back in track ok?! Or is that too much to ask from you?”

“all right, all right. Calm down no need to be bitchy about it..”

There were two girls sitting on the floor, against the wall.

One had deep red hair, warm brown eyes, she was called Stefanny, the other one had longish lavender hair and blue eyes, her name is jenny.

They were waiting for their teacher to arrive and finally open the door.

They were talking about boys and bands, calling each other names, nothing out the ordinary.

They were starting a new year, finally collage had started. They couldn’t wait to meet new people.

The teacher finally arrived and with her half of the class.

The teacher seemed to just want to talk and preach, making class seem too long to be acceptable.

After class they decided to go look for a place to eat, out of campus, look around, after all they were in London.

It was a beautiful summer day, the sparrows were singing happily thru the cloudless sky, and everyone had finally taken out their summer clothes.

they finally found a place close to their apartment, has they walked in Stef saw a gorgeous dark haired girl, she was tall and thin.

Steffy and Jenny sat in a table near a window.

“Hey jenns don’t you think that girl is beautiful?” the red-haired said with a twinkle in her eyes.

“Yeah… she’s cute.”

“She’s more than cute.”

“OMG Stef! Don’t tell me you’re turning gay.”

“NOOO! I was just saying, I never saw anyone as beautiful as her.”

She slowly walked up to them.

“Hello I am Dina and I will be your waitress today, what will you have?”

“I want a chicken salad.” Jennifer said.

“I want a cheese burger and a strawberry shake.” Stefanny said.

“ok, I’ll be right back then.” The girl said with a smile and then walked away.

Days went by and Stef made jenny always go eat at that same restaurant, just to see Dina.

Every day they talked, and has days and weeks went by they started to become friends.

Steffy found out she was going to the same college, she was studying to become a pediatrician, but Stef on the other hand was studying art history and drawings, she had always wanted to make manga, finally show the world that she was in fact talented.

As time went by they started to become closer and closer, best friends in fact.

The day was cold, the birds were all hiding, and all snuggled up in their nests as the rain poured outside, the red-haired was sitting in her leather couch watching a stupid romantic comedy when the door bell rang.

On the other side of the door she found a drenched, red-eyed Dina.

“What happened?” Stefanny asked worried as she took the girl in her arms not caring about getting all wet.

“David broke up with me.” She said between tears.

“What? Why?”

“He said that he found someone better than me, and that he didn’t want to see me ever again! He even said he had been cheating on me for a few months!” the blue eyed girl said crying even more.

“God he was an ass! I will kill him!”

“No! Please don’t do anything; I just want to forget he ever existed!”

“Are you sure, I can make him suffer.” Steffy said with an evil smile.

“Yes I’m sure stef, but you’re a sweetheart for asking.”

“Well you should change, and take a shower.”

“nahmm I’m ok.”

“Go take a shower, choose some of clothes and then I’ll have a surprise for you!”

“what kinda surprise?”

“well if I tell you it wouldn’t be a surprise would it? Now go take a shower please.” She said with puppy eyes.

Dina got up and went into steffs room to take a shower, 20 minutes later as she walked out she saw Stef sitting on the couch with a big bucket of chocolate ice cream huge fluffy pillows, blankets and a pile of movies.

“whats this for?”

“This my darling is rehab.” The other one said with a smile “we have all types of movies, from romantic comedies to horror and gore, you just have to choose.”

“HORROR!”

Night of Demons it is!”

“Well that should be interesting.”

They laughed together at the stupidity of the movie’s plot and bad acting.

After half a bucket of ice cream and some wine Dina fell asleep in Stefs lap.

The next day when Dina woke up the smell of chocolate chips and warm coffee filled her nostrils, dancing round making her feel oh so cozy.

She slowly lifted her head and saw Stefanny dance around the kitchen as she poured the coffee into 2 big mugs, and ran back to take the pancakes out of the frying pan.

It was quite a beautiful view, very homie.

“I see you’re finally woken up missy.” The young girl said heading towards the sofa with 2 coffee mugs in her hand, finally handing one to Dina.

“Any better today?”

“Not really…” She said looking down.

“Oh, no problem, I have the perfect remedy for that.” Stefanny said with an evil smile.

“What the hell are you thinking of?”

“Oh nothing, just an idea, come, have breakfast and then we’ll go out.”

After breakfast they went for a walk and soon enough they had arrived at stefs destination.

“What are we doing here?! This is David’s apartment! I don’t want to be here!”

“We’re here for a reason!” she said and took a box of eggs out of her bag “wanna have fun?”

“No we couldn’t!”

“Why not?”

“It’s wrong!”

“no its not, come one, throw one.”

Stef put an egg in Dina’s hand.

After that it was automatic, they only stopped when there were no more eggs, and then ran away laughing.

After two blocks they stopped running and as they catched their breath, Steffy looked at Dina and smiled, she got closer and closer, until their faces were just a few inches away from each other.

Dina smiled at her.

“You are a great friend Stef, thank you.”

Steffy smiled and looked away.

“Dina I need to tell you something.”

“Sure what it is it?”

Stef slowly grabbed Dina’s face and gently kissed her.

At first Dina kissed back but then she quickly retracted.

“Stef?! What did just happened?!”

“Dina I don’t know if I can explain it any better than that.”

“Stef I’m not a lesbian!”

“And neither am I. I don’t know I just love you…” she said looking away.

“Stef, to me you’re just a friend…”

“ok, I understand.”

“I’m Sorry.” Dina said as she walked away.

Weeks went by and Stef couldn’t forget that dark haired girl. Dina was everything she ever thought about.

Jenny tried to take her out of the house, go out at night, go see a movie, or simply eat but she wouldn’t, it was like she had lost her own soul, even the light in her eyes was gone.

She would sit around at their place looking at the walls, and blindly looking at the pictures on the tv.

Until one day the door rang. For a change she didn’t even get up to go answer it, until she heard that voice.

She looked up and there she was, once again, not in tears, but trying not to cry.

“Stef we need to talk.”

Stef looked blankly ate the girl, then she blinked and mechanically went up to her.

“Stef are you ok? You seem white.”

“Yeah everything’s ok. What did you want to say?”

Dina kissed Stef, tongue and all.

“Stef I was very wrong, I was didn’t understand how I really felt until that day.”

“you left me in the street wishing I was never born!”

“I wish I could take it back, I wish you can take it all back to that day and just kiss you instead.”

“Prove it to me.”

Dina kissed her again, with all the passion she could find in her soul.

After a bit Stef finally snapped out of the coma she had been in.

“Stefanny Azevedo, will you be my girlfriend?” Dina asked with a slight glimmer in her eyes.

“I will.”

And Finally the kissed, once more, as best friends, and now lovers.

“see that’s how you tell a story.” Emily said.

“It seemed quite boring to me, there wasn’t even a little dragon.” The narrator said.

“we’ve talked about this, I don’t do dragons, or princesses with fluffy dresses, I like real stories.”

“And what does that have of real?”

“A lot more of things than your crocodile with wings.”

“Bah, next time we do it my way.”
